A great day for America!

The US Supreme Court upholds Obama's health-care legislation.

Well done, President Obama!

Thanks, Joseph

I never feel my unAmericanism (not antiAmericanism: my respect and admiration for the US runs deep)more than when I see people angry at a notion of health care as a basic human right that's almost become second-nature in Canada.

In my 57 yrs of life I cannot make a single complaint about our system:not one. Sure, it costs an arm and leg to run it and we pay lots of taxes. So what? Sure, some procedures (for non life-threatening conditions) do require a bit of a wait time. So what? Sure doctors, like all public sector workers, are heavily regulated by government. So what?

Canada is generous to a fault (and I'm proud of that): when our Harper gov't proposed cutting back levels of free medical services to refugees, there was public outcry. Tommy Douglas, an NDP premier of Saskatchewan in 30s and 40s, is considered the greatest Canadian because he introduced the principle of universal health care.

Perhaps I like Obama so much because, for once, an American president is beginning to think and act more like a Canadian.

Please get Obama re-elected, America, because you know what Romney's going to do.

inspire of everything America IS based upon that Rule of Law....
especially if you can afford good lawyers .... and have honest judges...

here is one Repub who has "flipped" and it only took him about 45 mins.

OPPS !
Cuccinelli has 'flipped' back into his attack-Obama
posture ...
so much for the possibility of our
"leaders" working together... the demand/need for Power trumps everything, eh ?

Might makes Right
and
who becomes nest president most likely will depend on 3 or 4 states... who gets their electoral votes. Remember
Florida and those hanging chads ? One state and the Supreme Court elected Bush ...
